Sources and photo credits.

Everything we assert, and where it came from. If a figure looks wrong to you, please tell us — we would rather correct it than defend it.

Data sources

Primary statistics come from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, Bangladesh Bank, the World Bank and IFC. Where only the Bangladeshi business press had reported a figure, we cite the paper. Anything we calculated ourselves is labelled Our estimate wherever it appears.

A standing caveat

MFS statistics move monthly. The merchant-account and transaction figures here are the most recent we could source at the time of writing, and each carries its own date. Before relying on any of them for a decision, check the current month on Bangladesh Bank's MFS data page.

Photography

Every photograph on this site is freely licensed from Wikimedia Commons and used unmodified apart from resizing and compression. Attribution below as each licence requires. We have no commercial relationship with any photographer here, and none of them endorses Priyo Agent.
