You built extraordinary rails. Let us carry them the last mile.

To bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay and every bank with a merchant target: the remaining three million shops are not a technology problem. They are a presence problem — and presence does not scale from a head office.

What we bring

Seven things, and why each one matters to you.

What Priyo Agent brings to a partner, and why
We bringBecause
Reach into the ~3 million cash-only shopsBangla QR interoperability means one Priyo Agent visit can activate a merchant for the whole ecosystem rather than a single brand.
Activation, not just acquisitionThe industry's real problem is dormancy — 37.6% active accounts, a 5% merchant-payment share. We are compensated on live transactions.
A route to your Bangla QR obligationsMerchant onboarding at the scale and pace the mandate demands, with penalties on the other side of the deadline.
Movement on the 5% lineMerchant payments are where the next decade of MFS growth has to come from. Cash-in and cash-out is a mature market.
Data that creates lending opportunityA newly visible merchant is a new CMSME borrower, against a US$2.8 billion financing gap.
Real progress on the 20-point gender gapWomen agents onboarding women shopkeepers is the only approach that has ever moved this number.
CSR that actually landsAn audited, on-the-ground delivery channel for education, food and disaster relief — with a story that stands up to your board and your regulator.

Who we work with

Three conversations, three shapes.

MFS providers

You have a merchant target and a dormancy problem. We onboard where your sales team can't reach economically, and we're paid on transactions rather than sign-ups — so our incentives point at your activation rate, not your headline count.

Banks

A Bangla QR obligation on one side and a CSR budget struggling to land on the other. We are one channel for both, with reporting that stands up to your board and your regulator.

Funders and DFIs

A financial-inclusion thesis that runs through commerce rather than aid: the merchant record we create is the input to CMSME credit against a US$2.8 billion financing gap, and the gender gap is the number we're built to move.

Why now

The window is open, and it has a deadline on it.

  1. 01

A national target that only shops can deliver

Bangladesh Bank wants 75% of transactions cashless by 2027 and 80% of payments digital within the decade. Against 34.6% digital in October 2025, that is unreachable through malls and supermarkets. It runs through the mudir dokan.

  2. 02

    The Bangla QR mandate

Every bank, MFS provider, PSP and PSO must replace its proprietary QR codes at merchant points with the interoperable Bangla QR, with penalties up to Tk 30 lakh. Suddenly the whole industry needs merchants onboarded — and interoperability means one visit can serve all of them.

  3. 03

    Acceptance is the bottleneck now

Wallet growth has plateaued into dormancy — of roughly 237 million MFS accounts, only 37.6% are active. The next decade of growth has to come off the 5% merchant-payment line.

  4. 04

The last mile is already proven

Agent banking runs 21,023 outlets through 15,838 agents serving 24.67 million accounts, 85.5% of them rural. Rural Bangladesh is not a distribution mystery. It just needs someone to show up.

How an engagement starts

Small, specific, and measured from day one.

We would rather prove the model in four unions than promise it across eight divisions.

  1. Step 1

    Pick the ground

You name a district, a corridor, or a merchant segment you can't reach today.

  2. Step 2

    Agree the metric

Live transacting shops at week 4, 12 and 52 — defined and signed before we start.

  3. Step 3

    Run a pilot

A small agent cohort, a fixed period, honest reporting including what failed.

  4. Step 4

    Scale what held

Only the parts that hit the metric get more agents. The rest gets redesigned.

A note on the name. bKash uses “Priyo Agent” for a customer's designated favourite cash-out agent. We are a separate organisation and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for bKash — or for Nagad, Rocket, Upay or Bangladesh Bank. We would rather say that on our own site than have it asked in a first meeting.

Bring a district, a merchant target, or a CSR mandate. We'll come back with what it would honestly take — including the parts that are hard.
